A SYMBOL FOR THE HIVE
As the sculpture, L’Insoutenable Légèreté du Cube, changes itself under the influence of its environment so does our setting act on us. The Hive, creating a balanced eco-system which associates nature and urban, encourages the synergies between the human beings, but also the areas in which we evolve. The work of Etienne Krähenbühl depicts this dialogue, these exchanges which have been made possible thanks to the innovative materials subjected to the impact of nature and time.
Four solar-powered street lights have been installed in the site’s parking lot.
A wise solution for practical and environmentally-friendly lighting: each street light is equipped with its own control module. The solar panel collects sunlight during the day. The accumulated energy is stored in a battery then autonomously released at night as LED lighting.
By making use of technological innovations to rethink how spaces are organised, we are adapting our site’s outdoor lighting to the new challenges of the energy transition!
As part of the site's redevelopment, “Luigia”, a popular Italian restaurant chain in Switzerland, will open a new restaurant and its first training centre in Meyrin.
The 700 m² pavilion will be located in a lush area at the heart of the site. Besides its training facility, it will house an attractive neighbourhood restaurant with a shaded terrace, offering authentic, traditional cuisine from carefully selected Italian ingredients.
Development continues at The Hive campus in Meyrin (GE), which is geared to companies' future requirements. With richly diverse spaces and outstanding working conditions available to well-known companies and start-ups alike, The Hive offers its partners a wide range of possibilities.
The rental contract with Regus, the world's leading provider of workplace solutions with 3'000 business centres in nearly 900 cities and 100 countries, supports this long-term vision of “The Hive”. Regus will open its offices at the Hive 0.1 building in the spring of 2019, following an extensive modernisation of the building.
